When to Book Your Newborn Photoshoot (West & South Yorkshire)

If you're expecting a baby, one of the most common questions I get at Phoebe Rose Photography is: when should I book my newborn photoshoot? The short answer: as early as you can — ideally during your second trimester.

The best time for newborn photos

Newborn sessions are usually photographed within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepier and naturally curl into those classic newborn poses.

Why booking early matters

• My studio sessions are by appointment only and availability is limited.

• Booking early means we can reserve a flexible slot around your due date.

• If baby arrives early/late, we simply adjust within the newborn window.

• I’ll send a simple prep guide so you feel confident on the day.
